To provide a seamless experience where your counter numbers are not lost when closing your browser tab or refreshing the page, our application uses standard HTML5 localStorage on your client device:

• Counter Values & Multi-Tabs: Active counts, custom steps, targets, and tab labels.
• Audio & Haptic Settings: Selected sound profiles (e.g. Mechanical, Bubble Pop, Thud) and mute toggle states.
• Theme Preference: Dark mode or light mode selection.
• Session History: Timestamped count milestones saved exclusively on your device for CSV export.

* Note: You can erase this data at any moment simply by using the in-app "Reset All" buttons or clearing your browser's site cookies and local storage.

Tap Counter Online accesses client-side hardware features strictly for immediate feedback:

• Web Audio API: Used exclusively to synthesize click acoustic frequencies directly in your browser's audio processor. We do not access or record your microphone.
• Vibration API (Haptics): Used on supported mobile devices to deliver brief haptic pulses (10ms to 40ms) upon button taps.
• Fullscreen API: Used when you activate Zen Mode (F hotkey) to maximize your workspace.

Like most websites, we may utilize third-party partners (such as Google AdSense or standard analytics providers) to display non-intrusive advertisements that help fund server hosting and development:
