How are my counter values saved?
All counts, tab names, custom steps, sound preferences, and history logs are automatically saved in your device's browser localStorage. You can refresh or close the tab and return later without losing your count.
Can I use Tap Counter without an internet connection?
Yes! Tap Counter is designed as an offline-first Progressive Web App (PWA). Once loaded, all audio synthesis and count tracking operate 100% locally on your device without needing Wi-Fi or mobile data.
Why am I not hearing click audio sounds?
Modern web browsers require an initial user interaction (a tap or click) to unlock audio playback. Also, check that your device is not in silent/vibrate mode and that sound is not muted in the header sound settings icon.
What keyboard shortcuts are available?
You can press Space or + to increment, - to decrement, R to reset, F for Fullscreen Zen Mode, and M to mute.
